The Beckett Grading form serves as a vital tool for collectors looking to have their trading cards evaluated and graded. This form outlines the essential details required for the grading process, including personal information such as name, address, and contact details. It also specifies the type of cards being submitted, along with their quantity, year, set name, and declared value. Collectors can choose from various grading services, and the form includes clear instructions on how to calculate the total fees based on the number of cards and selected services. Payment options are straightforward, allowing for checks or credit card transactions, while ensuring that all submissions are accompanied by full payment. Importantly, the form also addresses the grading criteria, indicating whether cards will receive a numeric grade or simply be authenticated. Additional considerations, such as return shipping methods and insurance options, are clearly detailed, ensuring that collectors understand their responsibilities and the associated costs. By adhering to these guidelines, collectors can streamline their grading experience and protect their valuable cards.

1.At this time, Beckett Grading Services accepts and grades most licensed cards up to 8.5 inches by 11 inches. Additional fees will apply to items larger then 3x5. Please note that cards showing evidence of counterfeiting, tampering, or restoration will be charged the full amount according to the service option selected. By not checking either of the “Authentic” boxes on the front of the submission form, your cards will be given a numeric grade if the cards are deemed to be gradable by BGS standards. Usual grading fees apply. Please refer to www.beckett.com/grading for updated information.

2.All submissions must be addressed to Beckett Grading Services. Improperly addressed shipments are not subject to turnaround time selected. Cards should be sent in oversized (3.25" X 5") semi-rigid holders (such as a Card Saver I). “Penny sleeves” should also be used in conjunction with the oversized semi-rigid holders. BGS will not be responsible for any damages incurred by the use of other holders.

3.All card submissions must be accompanied by a Beckett-issued submission form. All other forms, including handwritten copies, are null and void.

4.Please PRINT your name and account number (if you have one) in the upper right corner of the form. If you do not have an account number, one will be assigned to you.

6.Please be sure to notate your return shipping method of choice in the 'SHIP VIA' box. Standard shipping will be via FedEx Ground unless otherwise marked. Feel free to use your existing FedEx or UPS account # if you have one. BGS reserves the right to change carriers without notice unless a shipping account is being used.

7.List all cards you are submitting with quantity, year of issue, set name or company (please use standard Beckett terminology when possible), card number, card/player name, and your declared value per lot. You may use additional forms to list more cards, but please only choose one service level per submission form.

8.Select 'Grading Service' level. Check one level only. (See top of rules section for more details). Please separate cards based on submission levels and requirements.

9.To determine amount owed, use the 'Calculating $ to be paid to BGS' area. Total the number of cards submitted and multiply by the price per card for the grading service you select. Figure return postage and insurance using appropriate tables. Add 8.25% Sales Tax to the cost of service and shipping if you are a Texas resident only, unless the cards are for re-sale and you provide us with a valid re-sale tax ID number.

examined or processed until payment is made in full. Don't forget the expiration date, security code, and signature. All payments must be in U.S. funds. Returned checks will be assessed a $30.00 fee.

11.Be sure to include return insurance and ship to address on top of submission form. Send to the attention of 'Beckett Grading Services. Beckett will not be responsible for damages on packages sent for grading so insurance and tracking is recommended. Owner's declared value is used for determining insurance cost of the return shipment and the maximum amount that can be claimed for damage or loss in shipment for any card or cards. If a claim is necessary at any point, the value of each card will be based upon the actual market value not to exceed the insured value the customer assigned to the card.

International Customers

International customers have two options. We can send the shipment to a U.S. location and the customer can arrange shipment from there. To do this, use the shipping tables above to calculate the shipping cost and include payment with the service fee. Be sure to provide a U.S. destination address on the submission form. The other option is to receive the shipment USPS Global Express. Customers are liable for the cost on any applicable customs, duties and taxes. Failure to abide by these guidelines may result in nondelivery of cards and/or penalty fees charged back to the customers. These fees can be substantial and we encourage you to investigate the costs before sending the submission. Please indicate which of these options you prefer on the shipping line (line 6) on the front of the submission form.

Your Questions, Answered

What is the Beckett Grading form used for?

The Beckett Grading form is essential for submitting your trading cards for grading and authentication. It helps you provide all necessary details about the cards you wish to submit, including their condition and declared value. Completing this form accurately ensures that your cards are processed efficiently and correctly.

How do I fill out the Beckett Grading form?

Start by entering your name, contact information, and any FedEx account number if applicable. Next, list the cards you are submitting, including the year, set name, card number, and player name. Don’t forget to declare the value for each card. Make sure to check the appropriate boxes for grading or authentication services. Lastly, calculate the total fees and ensure payment is included with your submission.

What payment methods are accepted?

Beckett Grading Services accepts various payment methods, including checks, money orders, and credit cards. Ensure that all payments are made in U.S. funds. If using a credit card, provide the card number, expiration date, and CVC code on the form. Remember, cash should not be sent with your submission.

What happens if my cards are deemed altered?

If your cards are found to be altered, they will not receive a numeric grade. Instead, they will be sealed and authenticated in a standard Beckett Authentic/Altered case. This process ensures that the cards are still preserved and recognized as authentic, even if they cannot be graded.

Can I submit oversized items for grading?

Yes, you can submit oversized items, but additional fees will apply. Items larger than 3x5 inches will incur extra charges for grading and return shipping. Be sure to indicate these items clearly on your submission form and calculate the appropriate fees based on the size of your cards.

What should I do if I have more than 12 cards to submit?

If you have more than 12 cards, you can use a second sheet of the Beckett Grading form to list the additional cards. Make sure to follow the same format as the first sheet, providing all necessary details for each card. Keep in mind that all cards must be submitted with payment in full for grading to occur.
